What is the difference between sandaltoe and reinforced toe hosiery?

Sandaltoe hosiery is meant to be worn with open toe shoes. It does not have any change in texture at the toe and is same weight nylon as in the leg.
Reinforced toe hosiery is meant for closed toe shoes. It it more durable with it’s extra higher thread-count nylon in the toe area that looks significantly different than the foot and leg nylon.
